Expert-led backcountry ski touring in the Selkirk and Monashee mountains. Day tours to multi-day traverses tailored to your experience.
Located in Glacier National Park, Rogers Pass sits 45 minutes east of Revelstoke along the Trans-Canada Highway. The area offers massive bowls, steep couloirs, towering peaks, and ancient forests — all accessible from the roadside. With a deep, reliable snowpack and over 10 metres of annual snowfall, it belongs on every serious ski tourer's bucket list.
Brad tailors every trip to your fitness and ability — from introductory single-day tours to demanding multi-day traverses. Revelstoke's own backcountry, deep in the Monashees, offers equally exceptional terrain for those looking to explore closer to town.

New to ski touring? Brad will get you skinning confidently on mellow, spectacular terrain. A great first step into the backcountry.
Brad selects objectives daily based on conditions, group ability, and snowpack.
What experience do I need for Rogers Pass ski touring?
Previous ski touring experience is helpful but not necessary. The terrain is serious — most days involve at least 800m of elevation gain. Brad will assess your group's ability and select objectives accordingly. If you're new to ski touring, ask about our intro tour option.
Do I need a Parks Canada winter permit?
Yes — a winter permit is mandatory for all backcountry users in Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass. Brad will guide you through the permit process as part of your trip preparation. Rescue inside a National Park is covered by your park entry pass.
What gear do I need to bring?
Alpine touring, split board, or telemark skis with climbing skins, a 3-antenna digital avalanche beacon, shovel (metal blade required — no plastic or carbon), probe, and layered mountain clothing. A full gear list is provided when you book.
What's included in a guided day?
Brad's full-day guiding services, daily conditions and weather assessment, group safety gear, avalanche safety briefing and transceiver check, and permit logistics guidance. Accommodation, meals, transportation, and personal gear are not included.
What is the typical day like?
Groups typically meet in Revelstoke at 7 AM for a gear check and conditions briefing, then drive to Rogers Pass (45 min). Expect 800–1,500+ metres of vertical per day depending on conditions and fitness. Return to Revelstoke by 5 PM.
